Learn with Sarita
If you’re interested in how I work - what materials I use, how I build a painting, and how I think through the process - I’ve created a few ways to take a closer look inside my studio.

The Art of Deconstructivist Painting
Learn the Build > Reveal > Refine Process
In my online course, I take one painting from a blank surface through every stage of my Build > Reveal > Refine process.
Across 19 lessons and more than three hours of instruction, you’ll see how I develop color, build layers of paint and plaster, carve and scrape back through the surface, and make the final adjustments that bring the work together.
You can follow along with me, experiment with the techniques through three focused exercises, and explore how to bring my unique 'deconstructivist' process into your own studio practice.
Explore My Studio Materials
Over the years, one of the questions I’m asked most often is what materials and tools I use in my paintings.
I’ve put together a collection of the paints, plaster, tools and studio essentials I regularly work with, along with notes about how I use them and links to the specific products.
If you’re curious about what’s on my worktable - or looking for materials to experiment with in your own studio - you can explore the full list here.
