A study of the calm, meditative energy of the ocean.
This work was created by first applying a thick layer of lightweight plaster to the canvas. This was followed by creating an uneven, expressive surface with a variety of textured rollers and aggressive sanding. The textured result then marinated in a variety of layered stains to give this piece a translucent and water-like feel.
