A delicate piece with a dream-like feel. It contrasts the whisper of golden hues with the drama of fiery red.
I saturated the entire canvas in layers of various reds, followed by masking the entire surface in thick, white plaster. I sanded and carved away at the plaster until it was as light as fabric, revealing hints of its red beginnings. I added a final punch of color and drama by fully exposing the brazen red at the top corner.
