Cielo represents a highly abstracted interpretation of a sky awash with clouds.
I began with a base layer of this rich navy blue. I then coated the surface with a light coat of plaster, worked away at it and really embraced all the little inconsistencies and cracks that add to the composition, feel, and the mood of the piece.
